A female entrepreneur has launched the very first PR agency to be based in Ilkeston, Derbyshire.
The new agency to be named Poppy PR is the brainchild of 24-year old Tina Clough, who is a firm believer in bringing new enterprise to the area, in a bid to keep the local economy alive.
Tina Clough, who has a firm grounding in both journalism and PR said, “Despite the fragility of the economic climate, the PR industry has been surprisingly resilient.
“This is partly down to the fact that many businesses are realising that it is vital to market themselves effectively in a bid to stay one step ahead of their competitors.
“I grew up in the local area and so it made sense to start a PR agency in my hometown. Although we have clients throughout the UK in varying sectors, I hope that we will attract more local businesses seeking PR work.
Dedicated to creating communications campaigns with clout, Poppy PR will offer a variety of packages with mainstream PR, online PR and SEO in mind.
Specialising in numerous industry sectors, the agency aims to provide public relations services to those in the fashion industry, homes and gardens sector, health and safety sector, the entertainment industries, leisure markets and to those in the property sector.
The agency’s Derbyshire PR team has so far successfully executed major press campaigns securing coverage in tabloid newspapers, in the broadsheets, on national and regional radio programmes, and in numerous trade titles where industry knowledge is the key to success.
Tina who has previously worked at agency’s across the East Midlands, added, “Poppy PR will offer press release production, media relationship management, full SEO campaigns, internal communications, social media solutions and event organisation on request.
