Derbyshire based agency Poppy-PR is set to expand its team by taking on a new PR assistant, taking both its service and manpower to the next level.
Emma Turner, (21), from Ripley, will join the agency from Nottingham Trent University where she is currently studying a Masters in Magazine Journalism. Emma first met the team when she joined them on a week’s worth of work experience, and instantly gelled with everyone.
Emma will assist the team in conducting research for stories, creating media lists, and overseeing social media activity for clients.
The student, who boasts a sharp writing style, has already had experience working on Derbyshire Life Magazine where she worked single handily to produce one of its main supplements.
Managing director of Poppy-PR, Tina Clough (30) said: “I was extremely impressed by Emma’s enthusiasm and writing style, she is a great asset to the team and will be working to assist us all in our daily duties.
“Emma clicked with everyone straight away and her appointment lays the foundation for great things to come in 2016. This takes our team up to three members of staff, in addition to web design support, graphic design support and photography, which are now all offered as add-on services.
Established in 2010, Ilkeston based Poppy PR offers strategic and effective solutions to boosting brand awareness and maximising column inches.

The team has executed major press campaigns for clients and secured coverage in the tabloids, the broadsheets, national and regional radio programmes.
